So Did Blake Steal Staples' Magnet?
The Magic Staples Center Magnet
What makes Blake Griffin so great? I believe it is uncanny ability to finish, everything. You can see a clear example from the video above. He makes impossible shots regularly, making him the most exciting player in California. We used to say these very same things about Mr. Bryant, but it seems these days the staple center magic has moved to a new star. The scariest part of his game is that his game has so much room for refinement. With hours of gym work, this guy is going to be “best power forward of all time,” good. His jump shot will improve, his decision making will improve, and most importantly his decisiveness will improve. Blake struggles when he thinks too much instead of just putting his absurd talent to work. The more he just goes head on into traffic, the more successful he is going to be. Some might argue that this “no holds bar” style might lead to more injuries. To those I ask have you seen the nasty spills Blake has taken this season, every game. I think the guy got the Wolverine treatment in his year off, putting in an adimantium skeleton or something. And when you see him in person, forget it, the guy is built like a tank, the knee was an unfortunate fluke.
PS This Brandon Jennings guy is adorable. I personally think he’s built too small for the NBA, but man he’s got some skills.
