Apparently yes, yes it can. I decided to watch the final quarter of the game, I wasn't hoping for much, maybe we could show some dignity and only lose by 10? Show this was a fluke? Apparently in Laker Nation these days that's far too much to ask. Some Quarter Highlights


11:22 in 4th- Henderson make a three point play. Lakers down 21! Pretty much Game over.

6:00- Kobe Gets away with one

As Joel points out, this is an obvious travel. But the Lakers are down 28!, ouch, and the league doesn't want to embarrass the number one jersey seller. Kobe you go do whatever you want, just as long as you score and are nice in the press conference later.

4:00 Ebanks and Character check into the game. I have no idea who the players on the court for the Bobcats are. Oh boy, The Sophmore-Rookie game has begun that nobody in the city of Charlotte paid to see. Even Bobcat fans are heading to the exit.

This guy checks in (Sherron Collins) and is clearly way to fat to actually play in a game. Embarrassing.


Final thoughts...

Why do the Lakers refuse to show Athleticism? Seen Shannon Dunk lately? Nope. Also they threw a lob up to the rookie Ebanks, and he barely got off the ground. Whats the deal with that knee brace on his leg? Lakers need momentum swings from the young guns off the bench to fire up the team. These athletic plays have a way of getting teams fired up to push even the old guys. These young guns need to do their job, and namely be exciting and play as hard as possible. Young guys, mostly Shannon and Bynum, need to start having fun out there, and I promise it will have a trickle down effect. But it seems the closer we are getting to the trade deadline, the more and more I seem to want to hop aboard the melo train.
